Villa Katerina is a beautiful traditional small villa situated in the village of Asteri, in a peaceful setting surrounded by fields. 200 years old it has recently undergone renovation using local stone and marble. The village of Asteri is surrounded by the Cretan nature and the building blends harmonically with the whole landscape. The villa is suitable for 4-5 people and has two bedrooms. There is a single bedroom on the ground floor which leads up a flight of wrought iron stairs to a pretty mezzanine with a traditional wrought double iron bed. The second bedroom has two single beds and is on the ground floor. Both bedrooms are air conditioned. The well equipped kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave and the lounge area are open plan connected with each other. The villa has also a satellite TV and a CD player. Further there is a small bathroom with a bathtub. A barbecue plus a swimming pool (32qm) are opposite the entrance to the villa, plus a terrace area and gardens. Pets are allowed.
The nearest beach, shops and tavernas can be found after 2km in Stavromenos. The town of Rethymnon is 14km away. A car is considered to be essential for exploring the area and the whole island.
