The small village of Episkopi lies about 12 km from the airport of Heraklion and 10 km from the lovely beach of Amnissos. This traditional hill village remains relatively untouched by tourism, and has two tavernas and various kafenions. The villa is situated on the edge of the village, within well-maintained private gardens, and has a newly built private swimming pool. The owner has a house on the edge of the plot, with its own private entrance, which is used only for summer vacations, and thus will not invade the privacy of villa guests. There is a small play area for children, and there are three large verandas with wonderful views over the village and out across the sea as far as the island of Dia. Villa Agapi is a spacious 110sqm and is ideal for 6-7 people. The main entrance leads to the dining area and continues on to the open plan kitchen and living room, which is tastefully furnished and has an open fireplace, TV and stereo with CD/cassette deck. Above the living room is a gallery style spare room, which can be reached by an open wooden staircase from the kitchen. There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed, another has twin beds and the third smaller bedroom is ideal for children with either one single bed or with bunk beds, depending on clients requirements. There is a bathroom and a smaller WC with a washing machine. The house is well insulated with double glazing and the windows are fitted with mosquito nets, while central heating (extra charge) makes the house suitable for winter use. For an active day out with children there is the water park “Water City” nearby. We consider car hire to be essential.
