This lovingly restored village house is situated in the old village of Prines, some 5 km west of Rethymnon and from the nearest sandy/shingle beach. The traditionally furnished stone house is 110sqm in size, and can accommodate 6-7 people. The villa has its own small private swimming pool (approx. 21sqm) and a covered terrace with seating area. On the ground floor there is a well equipped kitchenette with dining area and fireplace, and a bathroom/WC. Further there is a courtyard with a separate guest room, having one double bed. A wrought iron spiral staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and a small balcony with a pergola, and overlooks the countryside and a country road. The other bedroom has twin beds and opens onto a balcony with pergola, overlooking the courtyard. Both bedrooms have a TV, and there are 3 air conditioning units available at an extra local charge. Further to this there is a bathroom/WC with a washing machine, and a living/dining room with an extra bed and a small balcony and a veranda overlooking the courtyard. From this veranda, you can climb up a few steps to the roof terrace, which offers beautiful views over the countryside, the courtyard and the pool, and is a lovely spot to watch the sun set.
About 100m from the villa there is a mini-market. Tavernas, shops and a bakery can be found in the village of Atsipopoulo, which is about 2 km away. Car hire is recommended.
