Pendamodi is a traditional sleepy little country Cretan village, about 15 Km south of Heraklion, and surrounded by rolling hills, extensive olive groves and unspoilt countryside. The nearest beach is 15km away at Amoudara. A pretty church is the village's main focal point, along with a traditional kafenion. Christina’s Villas are individually designed, traditional style detached villas nicely arranged on the edge of the village. The villas are single storey, with some built from natural stone, others painted in mellow pastel shades, all with terracotta tiled roofs, making for an original and most attractive appearance. Each of the villas has a private garden with its own private swimming pool. Offering a choice of three or four bedrooms, the villas are comfortably furnished and very well equipped. Each has a living room with seating and dining area, open fireplace, satellite TV, video and CD player, and the villa kitchens have a full range of appliances, including full-size cookers, microwaves, dishwashers and washing machines. In all of the villas the living areas and the bedrooms are air conditioned. A: Five villas, suitable for up to 6 people, each with three bedrooms, a bathroom/WC (with bathtub/shower attachment) and two Shower rooms/WC. B: Five villas, suitable for 8 people, each with four bedrooms, a bathroom/WC and two Shower rooms/WC.
A traditional style taverna and bar, with a large terrace offering panoramic views, are provided on site. The village also has a couple of typically Cretan kafenions, a mini market, while a further selection of local tavernas can be found in the surrounding villages;
Pendamodi is the perfect base for visiting both Knossos and Heraklion's archaeological museum. The local area provides plenty of opportunity for walkers to explore the diverse landscape and rural villages of Crete.
