The great natural Bay of Souda is a particularly breathtaking sight and Villa Afroditi sits in a most enviable position high on a hillside on the Akrotiri Peninsula with glorious 360 degree panoramic views down over the Bay, beyond to the White Mountains, and all across the peninsula to the sea at Stavros. Villa Afroditi suitable for 6-8 people, is a grand modern detached house of superb quality and setting with a large swimming pool set in spacious lawns with young date palms. The grounds are surrounded by stone walls and iron railings, and there is an expanse of paved driveway for parking. The villa has a long flight of steps up to the front entrance and inside the open plan living and dining areas are arranged on split levels, with large sliding glass doors and windows to a choice of sun terraces. One terrace leads down to a beautiful stone feature with BBQ, and a large shady tree, ideal for al fresco dining. Beyond this set in the lawns, is the 70sqm swimming pool, which does not have a children’s end being all the same depth at 1.70m. There are sun beds and sun umbrellas for use around the pool and on the terraces. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating and two sofa beds, a TV, an open fireplace and dining table and chairs. A few steps up from the living area, there is a well-equipped open plan corner kitchenette with full cooker and large fridge freezer, oven and dishwasher. On the other side, leading off the living area, there is a bathroom with shower/WC, and a corridor which leads to the three bedrooms. The master double bedroom has en-suite a beautiful mosaic tiled bathroom with a corner shower cabinet. There are a further two twin bedrooms, each en-suite (the smaller of the two has its own access to the bathroom which leads off the living area). The main bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath/WC, large vanity unit, and beautiful pastel Italian tiles. All of the bedrooms have flanks of built in wardrobes. Further facilities include a washing machine, and air conditioning (included in the price).
The distance to the airport of Chania is approx. 5 km. The harbour of Souda and the beautiful town of Chania, are both approx. 6 km away. The nearest sandy beach can be found after 2 km, and there is a mini-market and taverna after 1 km. A larger variety of shops and tavernas can be found in the nearby village of Kounoupidiana, and in the town of Chania. The wonderful position and glorious views offer the best setting for a wonderful holiday. We do consider a car to be essential.
